“This series, developed over the past year, has been a decidedly more intimate exploration into the landscape. In life, periods of introspection and expansion are dictated by our own idiosynchratic personal universes. These paintings are reflective of a contemplative experience. Images of water, whether still as glass or rushing over a rock filled stream, mirror the emotional landscape and are a recurring theme in this series.”

“I have been experimenting with using pastel on various substrates to develop this body of work. Some have a more energetic painterly feel, while others are produced by softly layering pigments in a more familiar way.
